Eagles don’t wait for calm skies, they rise because of the wind

For a long time, my fear of speaking in front of video (not the stage) kept me grounded even though I knew God was calling me to fly. Years ago, every time I thought about getting in front of that camera, my heart raced and that familiar voice whispered, who do you think you are? I wanted confidence, but fear felt louder than faith. I kept waiting to feel “ready,” not realizing that eagles don’t wait for calm skies, they rise because of the wind.
I had to learn that fear wasn’t a sign to stop; it was an invitation to trust God more deeply. Instead of fighting the discomfort, I started letting God use it. I starting helping other women speak with confidence. And just like an eagle rises higher during a storm, I realized my anxiety was actually the very thing God wanted to use to lift me. Each time I spoke to them despite the fear, my confidence grew. Not because I became perfect, but because I became obedient.
What shifted everything for me was understanding that hesitation and worrying about what people thought were keeping me stuck. I was watching other women soar, assuming they were fearless, when the truth was, they were just faithful.
God hasn't called me or you to sound like anyone else. He called us to use our voices.
Once I stopped looking sideways and started looking up, I gained clarity, peace, and courage I didn’t know I had. That’s how I was able to create Women of Movement.
Now I know this: speaking isn’t about performing, impressing, or proving anything. It’s about knowing I’m an eagle who is meant to soar. It’s about trusting God enough to open my mouth and let Him do the rest. Although I no longer live in fear, if I’m not careful it can still try to show up, but it no longer gets the final say. I’ve learned to rise anyway and if God did it for me, He’ll do it for you too.
If you need help getting started or simply starting again, I can meet with you each month to go to the next level with my 1:1 monthly coaching.
